 CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

In this picture, you can see KATHY DOYLE, our SENCO, working with a small group of children on some reading work. Ms Doyle is very experienced with SEN, and has a special room, fully equipped for working with children who need a little extra support. Mrs FIONA NALDER and Ms HELEN MANNOUKAS are also part of the special needs team, with special rooms to work in.

GIFTED AND TALENTED CHILDREN

 Teachers need to recognise children who have a special talent for something. During the past few years, for example, we have:

1. Arranged for several of our violinists to take outside examinations.

2. Helped a talented trumpeter to join a youth orchestra.

3. Helped ten children have their short stories published.

4. Arranged for several talented writers to work with The Times Educational Supplement.

5. Given two talented mathematicians advanced maths lessons.
